Like all of you, I am a unique individual with particular needs that I have learned to listen to and that I have really acknowledged over the last 8 years. I’ve learned to focus on my energy levels, to observe my body’s reactions to food, situations and emotions, and to respond to them accordingly. I have learned to put myself beyond everything and to get to know myself for who I am, Tatiana. It has been a very constructive and arduous journey and one that has taught me to be patient and to give each change or modification time to take effect. This brief introduction is to tell you why I developed a deep interest in holistic nutrition due to many circumstances in my life.
How my passion began…
My first encounter with alternative medicine was in 2008 when I developed an “autoimmune” disease called Raynaud syndrome. It causes some areas of the body — mainly the fingers and toes — to feel numb and cold in response to cold temperatures or stress. This happens because the smaller arteries that supply blood to the skin narrow, limiting blood circulation to the affected areas. After being diagnosed, I felt pretty desperate because I live in a country where winter lasts almost 5 months. I also felt clueless because I felt that just the word “autoimmune” meant that something serious was happening inside me, and that it was most likely incurable.
At that time, I didn’t understand why many diseases were placed in the category of “autoimmune” and how I had developed mine. I went, therefore, to 4 specialists, who wanted to treat the symptoms but didn’t even make the effort to look for the causes. I was astonished by the fact that a state of health, which had changed to the point of developing into a disease and which had also been influenced by many factors, could only be seen in a linear way: where A is a given and B is going to solve the problem.
At that point, I decided to commit myself to doing everything in my power and going beyond the obstacles and dead ends that my options had given me until now. I looked for help, instead, in alternative medicine and the answers within myself. I began to read, investigate, ask questions and look for natural methods that would help me understand how it had developed and how it could be cured.
What holistic nutrition means to me
During my quest, I met a wonderful female doctor who taught me how to conceive the body as a space where our mind, emotions, environment and the physical body itself live together. It’s the place where all of them have to be balanced and have to work together in order to have a wholesome state of health. This approach is what caught my interest and made me go even further with my interest, to the point of including organic, wholesome nutrition as the basis of my lifestyle because I was noticing essential changes and improvement in my health. The popular saying “we are what we eat” became obvious to me.
At the end of 2016, I was completely convinced that the interrelation between nutrition, mind, emotions, exercise, and environment was the key to helping me maintain a wholesome lifestyle and continue to get better. This is the main reason why I enrolled in the renowned German Institut for non-medical practitioners, Paracelsus, and decided to go the way of holistic nutrition, learning about the connection between the biochemistry and physiology of the human body and its necessities in the areas of energy (function), balance (nutrition), approach (diverse diets and trends), and unit (individuality).
I also learned about disease patterns, symptoms, causes, relationships between the latter and nutrition, going through the benefits and disadvantages of each nutrient, as well as different diets, with the end goal of being able to help and guide other people in their search for a healthy, natural, mindful, and wholesome lifestyle in a unique and individual way too.
What I can do for you
I am writing to you about my journey because many times you are stuck with supplements, low energy, medicine or physical symptoms without feeling or noticing any change. It is exactly at this moment that I can begin to support and guide you. I love sharing tips and guidelines that I’ve learned throughout this experience and that will help you rise again so that you can reach your personal goals. I am passionate about teaching you skills that will enable you to take care of your health in the long term.
